This one is called Totem Pole
This is a view from Artist Point. Folks go there and set up their stuff and paint.
Yep - that's us at Artist Point.
This one is of sunrise from our room at Monument Valley.

Just some more mouments.
This is part of a tour that you can take. You cannot drive you car back to this area.
One the Arches in the Valley.
Some of the places around the valley, forget the real name of the location, but this view you can see the head of a Warrior. The dark streak on the right is his hair and on the left where the sun is coming through the hole up to is his nose and forehead.
When you go in to the formation and lay against the wall looking up you can see the head of an Eagle. The hole is the eye with the beak to the left.
This is the view of Monument Valley from room. on the left is the Left Mitt and in the middle of the picture, it the Left Mitt.
This is the Motel - The View.  It is run by the Navajo Nation. Great rooms, views and food. All of the rooms face the same way, looking out over the valley.
Left Mitt again/

he Pertroglyphs of the Petrified Forest

Petrified Wood - pretty much looks like a wood tree and not a stone tree.
This is the only tree with the base still attached,  It was at least 6 foot across.
This tree was whole until the ground eroded away and the parts below rolled down in 2005.
Here is a good cross section of a log.
Funny that when the tree turned to stone the hole did not fill up also.
Here is a tall tree, it is strange that the pieces are all about the same size.
They put the support under this tree to keep it together.
This post it for the Cliff dwellers at Walnut Canyon that is about 50 miles from Sedona.

Sedona is down at the end of the valley, and here is part of the road down to the valley floor.

This is the Chapel of the Holy Cross. It sit up on the side of a mountain.

Took a Pink Jeep tour and this is some of the area covered. This is just about the whole town of Sedona,
